Dear Ms. Homsey,

I wish to extend my thanks and gratitude for the respectful, caring and dignified services provided to my mother, Marion F. Samuels.

Norma Warren was my mother's morning aide for almost 6 months.  Each morning, Monday through Friday, Norma would enter through the front door with a spirited "Good Morning, Marion!  "How are you doing today or How was your weekend".  My mother looked forward to Norma coming each day.  She was most certainly a bright spot in my mother's daily routine. Norma attended to every detail with ease, never rushing to beat the clock. Her attention was totally focused on my mother's individual needs.  Not only was she bathed and dressed but Norma would fix my mother's hair like a stylist.  My mother tooke great pride in her appearance even though she was housebound.  Norma covered all bases.

My mother loved people and often those who entered her home became friends with her.  She cared about them as much as they cared about her.  During many of the winter storms, my mother would worry over the safety of Norma coming up the Hill.  Norma was true to form.  She would worry about my mother's safety and if I would be available.  Norma treated her patients not like clients but like a member of her family.  I can't tell you how many times Norma on her own time would do an errand for me to pick up bed pads or Diapers.

During my mother's last days, Norma would search out items or suggest what would make it easier to either dress her, change her, or how the hairdresser could wash her hair more easily.  She would call me over a weekend to see how my mother was doing; that extra personal touch.

She emulates what all care attendants should be.  My mother and her home were well-cared for and my brothers and I are most grateful for her special services.  Norma went beyond the call of duty and we are grateful for that.  My mother was a very special woman who had a very special person attending her.

Respectfully,

Clarissa E. Samuels
